Signage and Wayfinding Production Graphic Designer/ Programmer

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Signage and Wayfinding Production Graphic Designer/ Programmer, where creativity meets precision in crafting visual communication solutions that guide and inspire. In this role, we are looking for a detail-oriented creative professional responsible for translating design concepts into high-quality, production-ready assets across print, digital, signage, packaging, and marketing materials. This role focuses on the technical execution and refinement of graphics—ensuring files meet exact specifications for printing, web, social media, and other media—while maintaining brand consistency and high production standards. Working closely with creative teams, art directors, and vendors, the Production Graphic Designer bridges the gap between creative vision and final output. Duties Programming and documentation of sign location plans and message schedules for use in signage and wayfinding projects. Collaborate with project teams to translate conceptual designs for signage and wayfinding systems into production ready files using tools like SignAgent and Adobe Creative Suite. Prepare detailed design files optimized for print production or digital display, ensuring color accuracy, proper layout, and file integrity. Utilize graphic design software to implement visual elements such as typography, logos, icons, and illustrations that align with branding guidelines. Conduct quality control checks on finished signage to verify adherence to specifications, color management standards, and prepress requirements. Take conceptual designs from senior designers or art directors and execute them into final mechanical files, including layout adjustments, color correction, image retouching, vector/raster optimization, and pre-press preparation. Ensure all files are print-ready or digitally optimized (e.g., proper bleeds, resolution, color modes like CMYK/RGB, file formats, and adherence to vendor specifications). Conduct quality assurance checks for accuracy, brand compliance, typography, resolution, and technical integrity across all deliverables. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, attention to detail, and consistency. Contribute to maintaining and updating brand style guides, templates, and digital asset libraries. Stay current with industry standards, software updates, and best practices in graphic production. Maintain complete project records. The ability to manage the entire production process from sourcing materials to overseeing fabrication, including sign manufacturing and installation logistics would be a plus. The ability to produce documentation level drawings is a plus. Requirements Proven experience in graphic design or visual communication with a strong portfolio showcasing signage, branding, or digital art projects. Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite. Technical skills in sign manufacturing processes such as CNC routing, vinyl cutting, 3D printing, or other fabrication techniques. Knowledge of print production workflows including file preparation for print (prepress), color management, typesetting, and layout design. Strong understanding of typography design for media and visual hierarchy principles to ensure clarity and impact in signage. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications while maintaining attention to detail during production and installation phases. Excellent presentation skills for client reviews and team collaboration; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
