About 1000 Miles 1000 Miles is an international product company with a team from 7 different countries. We design our own products from scratch and sell them on Amazon across the US, Canada, UK, and Germany. We move fast, use AI tools daily, and we own everything we create — the ideas, the designs, the brands. Children's Book Illustrator — Remote (Worldwide) We're looking for a talented illustrator to create engaging and detailed artwork for interactive children's books. The ideal candidate has strong experience in kids' book illustration and can create clean, playful, and visually rich scenes that encourage exploration and interaction. Important: Our characters, brand guidelines, and visual style are fully developed. Your job is to work within this system — not reinvent it. Every illustration must stay consistent with what already exists. Revisions will be requested whenever something drifts from the brief, and attention to detail in matching the established style is the most important skill for this role. Check out our brand here : https://www.amazon.com/stores/BSCOOL/page/FD737463-15DB-4463-9AE8-4D113D793871 What You'll Do: Illustrate scenes for interactive children's books — environments, characters, outfits, and interactive elements Work entirely within our existing brand system — characters, style, and visual language are already defined and must be followed exactly Collaborate closely with our team using provided references, briefs, and style guides Prepare final artwork suitable for print production Requirements: Proven experience in children's book illustration or similar work Strong skills in composition, color, and storytelling through visuals Ability to create detailed, layered illustrations suitable for interactive formats Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop or similar tools Good communication and openness to feedback Nice to Have: Experience with children's activity books Understanding of print-ready file setup Why 1000 Miles: Work with a 7-nationality international team 100% remote — work from anywhere in the world AI tools are part of how we work every day Your work reaches customers across 4 global markets (US, Canada, UK, Germany) Room to grow as the company expands Collaborative team that values your input and ideas To Apply, Please Include: Portfolio (children's illustration or similar) Short note about your experience with kids' books Confirmation of availability for long-term collaboration Project Details: Ongoing work — long-term opportunity.
