About The Role

Fitness Refined is seeking a Junior UI/UX Web Designer to contribute to intuitive, accessible, and high-converting web and mobile experiences. Reporting to the Senior Web Designer, you will help design landing pages, improve app interfaces, and maintain a consistent design system. This is an opportunity for an emerging designer to develop practical skills across web, mobile, and marketing projects while contributing to a product that supports people in their fitness journeys. We welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds and value strong work samples, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

You have a good foundation in visual design principles, including typography, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy. You can share a portfolio or selected projects that demonstrate your design skills and approach to solving problems. School, personal, freelance, and internship work are all welcome. You have some experience with digital design tools for creating layouts, wireframes, or prototypes, and an interest in making digital experiences intuitive, accessible, and enjoyable.

You communicate your ideas thoughtfully, ask questions, respond constructively to feedback, and are motivated to grow. Experience with responsive design, mobile interfaces, or conversion-focused landing pages is helpful, but expertise in every area is not required. An interest in fitness or wellness is a bonus. No specific degree or minimum years of experience are required; we are interested in your work, potential, and willingness to develop your craft.

Responsibilities

Design responsive landing pages, promotional content, and exercise library pages that clearly communicate the value of Fitness Refined and encourage app downloads and subscriptions. Create layouts, navigation, and calls to action that make it easy for visitors to find relevant information. Consider accessibility, usability, and visual consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.

Contribute to mobile app design for experiences such as onboarding, workout building, calendars, and progress tracking. Create wireframes and simple interactive prototypes to explore ideas and communicate potential solutions before development. Help maintain shared design components, styles, and visual assets so that experiences remain consistent. Organize design files and provide clear handoff details to developers, including how designs should look and behave.

Work closely with the Senior Web Designer to develop ideas, incorporate feedback, and refine designs. Collaborate with marketing and development colleagues to balance user needs with business goals. Use feedback and available performance insights to identify opportunities for improvement and help evolve the experience over time.
