UI/UX Designer

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: · We are seeking a talented and versatile UI/UX Designer who can also take on the responsibilities of an Application Analyst to ensure that our applications meet both user expectations and technical requirements. · The UI/UX designer will be a senior member of our technology team, reporting to a technical delivery manager. · As a critical contributor to our success, this role will work closely with the product team, development teams, business stakeholders, executive leadership, and clients to design how users navigate Qredible products. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. · Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. · Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and gather feedback. · Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine designs. · Ensure designs comply with accessibility and usability best practices. · Collaborate with developers and peers to implement UI/UX designs effectively. · Assess the feasibility of proposed application features and integrations. · Evaluate and recommend technology solutions and system enhancements to meet business objectives. · Collaborate with developers, peers, and system architects to ensure seamless integration of new features. · Conduct system testing and quality assurance to validate that applications meet specified requirements. · Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, liaising between technical and non-technical teams. · Ensure applications adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · User-Centric Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that prioritize user needs, usability, and accessibility. · Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders. · Simulated Web Apps for POC: Use tools such as Claude.AI, Cursor, and Netlify to quickly create interactive, visually appealing simulated web apps for proof-of-concept validation before full coding begins. · User Research: Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behavior and preferences. · Information Architecture: Define the information architecture and navigation flow for web and mobile applications to ensure a seamless user journey. · Responsive Design: Design responsive web interfaces that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes. · Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to bring designs to life. · Visual Design: Create visually compelling designs, including icons, graphics, and branding elements, while maintaining brand consistency. · Usability and Accessibility: Ensure that designs comply with usability best practices and accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience. · Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to incorporate the latest design methodologies and best practices. · Technical Writing: Create documentation, including Jira tickets or user stories, that detail the functional and design requirements of software applications. · System Analysis: Assess business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and use tools like Jira to manage and track the development of these requirements. · Product Ownership: In an Agile environment, help define and prioritize requirements, manage the product backlog (which includes Jira tickets), and work closely with the development team to ensure that the product meets user needs. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: · 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio displaying web and mobile application design projects. · A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing E-Commerce and SaaS solutions. · Demonstrated knowledge of SEO optimization best practices and the ability to integrate SEO principles into user interface design. · Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar. · Experience using Claude.AI, Cursor, and Netlify (or comparable technologies) to rapidly design and deploy interactive prototypes and simulated web apps. · Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices. · Experience with application analysis, system requirements gathering, and technical documentation. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess technical feasibility. · Ability to balance user experience and technical considerations effectively. · Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies. · Familiarity with Agile principles, sprint planning and backlog management. · Strong proficiency in Jira, for creating, managing, and tracking tickets and user stories. · Strong communication and collaboration skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. · Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. · Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is a plus. TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES: · This is a remote role, and you will be required to utilize a video conferencing system throughout the workday, with your camera being active when required. · Some travel opportunities for client facing meetings, corporate meetings, and relevant seminars/conferences.
