UI/UX Design & Research

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UI/UX Design & Research based in Brazil. This role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful digital products by combining user research, interaction design, and strategic problem-solving. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from understanding user needs and defining research questions to prototyping and supporting products after launch. The position sits within a multidisciplinary environment where designers, researchers, product specialists, and engineers collaborate closely. You will turn qualitative and quantitative insights into intuitive experiences and actionable design solutions that address real business challenges. Accountabilities Define UX and research requirements for digital products in collaboration with product teams and other stakeholders. Create wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, specifications, prototypes, and other UX design deliverables using modern design tools. Plan and conduct user research through methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, and other qualitative or quantitative approaches. Develop personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and other research-driven artifacts to communicate user needs and behaviors. Analyze research findings to identify meaningful patterns, insights, pain points, and actionable opportunities. Translate business requirements and user needs into clear research questions, design concepts, and user-centered solutions. Own design challenges end to end, from research and initial concepts through delivery, launch, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions are feasible, useful, and aligned with user expectations. Advocate for user-centered design principles and use research evidence to influence product and business decisions. Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends, benchmark experiences, and uncover opportunities for differentiation. Present research findings, design recommendations, and product concepts clearly to stakeholders and help guide strategic decisions. Facilitate workshops and contribute to collaborative problem-solving sessions when appropriate. Support development handoffs through clear documentation, specifications, and design guidance. Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles to create experiences that serve diverse audiences. Explore generative AI tools and emerging technologies to improve design and research workflows. Requirements Proven experience designing successful digital products and services, with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. Hands-on experience planning and conducting user research using methodologies such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and remote or in-person research. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret research data, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights. Proficiency with Figma for digital product design, wireframing, and interactive prototyping. Experience with user research platforms such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Lookback, or similar tools. Solid understanding of contemporary UX research strategies, methodologies, and best practices. Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, user-centered design solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories, explain research findings, and influence stakeholder decisions. Fluent English communication skills. Strong visual and interface design capabilities, with knowledge of information architecture and information design. Experience documenting designs and requirements for effective development handoff. Workshop facilitation experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive research and design practices is an advantage. Familiarity with quantitative analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools is desirable. Experience conducting research across international markets and different cultural contexts is a plus. An academic background in psychology, human-computer interaction, design, or a related discipline is advantageous. Ability to mentor colleagues and share knowledge of research and design methodologies is valued. Familiarity with generative AI tools and their application to design and research processes is a plus. Strong collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability, and stakeholder-management skills.
