General summary:
The Solutions Designer serves as the overall technical lead for assigned projects. This role is responsible for translating high-level architectural designs into detailed technical solutions, leading the technical implementation, and ensuring end-to-end system integration and delivery that meets business and operational requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the creation of the Solution Plan (SP) based on the High-Level Solution (HLS) provided by the Solution Architect.
Collaborates with the System Analyst to break down the HLS into actionable technical packages across applications and components.
Works closely with the Project Manager (PM) and Business Analyst (BA) to refine and validate business and technical requirements.
Reviews and validates the Detailed Functional Specification (DFS) with the System Analyst to ensure alignment with the planned solution.
Coordinates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Network Engineers, and Security teams to ensure holistic and secure end-to-end system design.
Oversees the setup of testing and production environments in collaboration with System Administrators and Database Administrators through the System Analyst.
Supports the Systems Analyst during the production handover process.
Leads technical readiness activities, ensuring support teams are prepared to manage the system post-deployment.
Oversees cutover planning and execution for deploying system enhancements into production.
Provides technical leadership during the stabilization period after deployment, managing escalations and production issues.
Partners with the PM and Service Management team to monitor system performance and assist with project closeout and knowledge transfer.
