Junior Marketing Graphic Designer

Authentic Ego | Remote | Part-Time Freelance | 10 hrs/week | $22/hour | Initial 3-month contract with option to extend into permanent role after Seed Raise.

The Opportunity

Authentic Ego is hiring a part-time Junior Marketing Graphic Designer to support the visual side of our marketing, website, email, and social content.

This is a graphic design and asset-production role.

You will help translate a science-first skincare brand into polished, on-brand visual assets across email,

Instagram, TikTok covers, website imagery, product education, and brand templates.

You will work directly with our Founder and Social Media Manager and support the ongoing development of our visual content system as the brand grows.

The Brand

Authentic Ego makes science-first skincare for sensitive, reactive, acne-prone, hormonally driven, and barrier-compromised skin.

Our products are built for customers who are dealing with acne, redness, sensitivity, pigmentation, barrier damage, and multi-concern skin, often alongside prescription actives like tretinoin, azelaic acid, hydroquinone, and acne or rosacea treatments.

The science is the story. Your job is to help make that science visually clear, consistent, and compelling!

What You’ll Do

— Design marketing email graphics and layout assets

— Create Instagram and TikTok cover graphics

— Build reusable social media templates for educational content

— Design carousel graphics and static social assets

— Support website migration tasks, including image organization, page graphics, visual QA, and asset preparation

— Help update and organize our brand asset library

— Assist with AI-supported image generation, image sourcing, and asset cleanup

— Resize, export, and format creative assets for web, email, and social use

— Keep visual assets organized, named clearly, and easy to reuse

— Follow brand guidelines and help strengthen visual consistency across channels

Who You Are

— You have strong taste, good layout instincts, and care about small visual details.

— You understand spacing, typography, hierarchy, composition, and how to make content look clean without over-designing it.

— You are comfortable working from brand direction and turning rough ideas into finished assets.

— You are interested in beauty, skincare, wellness, science, or consumer brands, and you want to learn how a real brand builds its visual system from the inside.

Desired Skills

— Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design tools

— Strong sense of typography and layout

— Experience designing for Instagram, TikTok, email, or ecommerce

— Ability to follow an existing brand system

— Basic comfort with Shopify or Klaviyo is a plus

— Experience using AI image or design tools is a must

— Beauty, skincare, or consumer brand experience is a plus

The Details

— $22/hour

— 10 hours/week

— Fully remote

— Flexible scheduling around school, freelance work, or other commitments

— Initial 3-month freelance contract with option to extend

— Opportunity to increase hours with potential for a full time role as we grow!
